Set a cast iron pan, or heavy bottom pan, on medium high heat and add the butter. While the pan is heating up, spread the Ancient Chinese Secret spice evenly on a plate. Crust one side of the scallops by placing the flat end on the plate and pressing gently down.
Once the pan is hot, place the scallops crusted side down in the pan. Allow to cook for 1-2 minutes per side. Take off heat and enjoy!
